I have a special place in my heart for Trios. I use to order often from here when I worked close by. You call around 06:30 am and your food would be there by 7:00 am. Many of my orders were for a large office so I would call a couple of days before and the food was on time and consistent no matter how big the order. All the breakfast food items are the BOMB! I haven't tried anything else, because when it's good I don't venture to new things. This is not food for those who wish to remain lean. It will put some weight on you. My favs: the French toast, pancakes, grits, and eggs. The home fries are hit or miss, sometimes too crunchy for my liking. I dined in for the first time last week and enjoyed it. They have a nice causal diner-ish setup. The staff is always friendly on the phone and in the restaurant. This will always be my spot when I'm on that side of town.
The food is consistently delicious!!!!! Friendly staff and affordable prices. The pancakes are fluffy, the eggs are as well. Home fries? Yes please!!!! If you have the time go try everything lol not all at once !!! Happy forks!!?
So, it's 2:00 in the afternoon and you're in the mood for pancakes, home fries, grits and sausage, but where to go? Have no fear-- Trio is the answer! Trio looks and is small, but has great staff, huge personality and a big menu. Their breakfast foods are outstanding-- i especially recommend their homemade grits and home fries-- and their lunches are filling and good. If you eat-in they will actually serve you at the table, and will be right on top of things (*almost* hovering, but not quite, thank goodness) My notables: their chicken "fingers" are actually hand-breaded tenders of real chicken (you know-- lumpy, misshapen, and oh so delicious). Their fries are those awful battered kind, but for some reason they still taste good! (maybe it's because they keep their oil so clean?) Their cheesesteaks are large and heavy. Their 3 pancakes, meat, home fries and eggs breakfast platter is only $5.75 and worth every penny. The food comes out fast and PIPING hot, so if you're not careful, you usually end up looking and sounding like an idiot as you try to squelch the 5 alarm fire ignited in your mouth and throat at the first bite... So, even though Trio may not look especially impressive or enticing, trust me: it's worth the trip.
Fast, efficient, and the food is pretty good! I usually go there before I run to the gym across the street. My usual go to is a BLT on wheat with a little bit of Mayo and raw onion and it's always on point! Plus they're the only one that makes my coffee right.
